Annotation

A description of the principles of usage of the complex morphological system for marking respect and social distance in the Nahuatl spoken in the Malinche Volcano area of Puebla and Tlaxcala, Mexico. Usage in direct address is said to be relatively stable, whereas usage in reference is being reduced in some of the modern communities.
