This volume discusses language policies with regard to the education of minority university students in western industrialized societies. It presents case studies of programs, successful in reversing minority students' academic failure through empowerment. These are complemented by perspectives of individuals and minority communities who have been concerned with the struggle for minority children's educational and linguistic rights.
