This work explores how ethnic and cultural identities affect Asian American communication. It further focuses on similarities and differences among Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese and Filipino Americans, and between Asian and European Americans. Finally, it discusses the role of communication in the acculturation process of Asian immigrants to the United States.
