Annotation

Exploring the genesis of various colonial dialects (Latin American Spanish, Canadian French) and in particular Colonial Englishes such as North American, and especially Australian, New Zealand, and South African Englishes, emerging during the 19th century along with the immigration of British and Irish settlers, this study emphasizes their predictability and the important role played by children.
