Annotation

This paper reviews the operationalization of theoretical perspectives on pragmatic learning in interlanguage pragmatic studies. (English as a) foreign language classrooms are considered as contexts where cognitive and socially-oriented perspectives can merge, and where new approaches to the study of pragmatic learning in foreign language settings are addresssed.
