Annotation

Taking into account language policy and legislation and related sociolinguistic mechanisms, this study discusses the second language learning context in a Dutch-speaking secondary school in Brussels. It explores in particular how the specific Brussels context affects instructed and non-instructed second language acquisition, learners' identification processes, and their second language learning motivation.
