This paper explores a set of metaphors, used in Tony Blair's speech addressed to the 2005 Gateshead Conference of the Labour Party, to demonstrate how perceptual simulators and domains of meaning can be employed to distinguish thought and feeling nuances possibly generated by metaphors in a specific communicative setting.
