Annotation

This paper examines what conversation analysis and sociocultural learning theory can add to the process of classroom interaction comprehension. It is argued that participants need to understand conversational organization, institutional talk, and teacher-learner co-construction of learning opportunities, in order to be able to participate appropriately in and learn via classroom activities.
