Annotation

This quantitative and qualitative corpus-based analysis of intentionality in the use of the impersonal pronoun uno in Spanish parliamentary debate, demonstrates that the two major purposes of the use of uno -avoidance of bluntness and self-praise- serve the broader goal of professional face maintenance.
