Annotation

This paper discusses how the South African apartheid governments (from the 1890s onwards) considered and dealt with the issues of pornography, erotica and the expression of human sexuality through a very conservative system of regulations and bureaucratic structures, which was replaced, in the New South Africa, by a very liberal system.
