Annotation

This paper examines how oral corpus annotation (obtained via questionnaire-related interviews) can be employed for improving the acceptability of Zulu medical terminology. Five recognised tendencies are explored: indigenous coinage, taboo preference, accurate designation, semantic shift and phonological adaptational trends.
