Annotation
From an agential perspective, this paper examines the encounter between Israeli and North American website privacy concerns as mediated via the introduction of the new medium by local journalists. It is argued that by Americanizing the concern over web privacy violation and by depicting the phenomenon as paranoia of technologically inept people, one neglects the contextualization of privacy violation, and privatizes the struggle against it.
