Annotation

It is discussed how future intercultural communication scholarship will thoroughly redefine personhood; will examine how other cultures interact in a host culture in order to uphold various cultural identities; will accept communication's social-action nature; and will question the cultural boundaries concept. It is argued that the challenges posed by multiculturalism will enable intercultural communication research to play a more crucial role within the social sciences.
