Annotation

This article presents an overview of the roles of political communication during Hong Kong's political transition. It is assumed that in the near future Hong Kong media will play a public relations or propaganda role. When China democratizes, Hong Kong media might resume their reformist or public forum roles, developed in the early 1990s.
