Annotation

This study conceptualizes the open-street closed-circuit television surveillance throughout Europe and North America, in terms of the central role played by communications and media in the development and change in surveillance policy. Drawing from empirical data on Canadian public camera surveillance, this study generates theoretical and empirical insights that allow us to see beyond explanatory focus on strategies of responsibilization and social ordering methods.
