Annotation
This study presents two alternative models for evaluating English as a Lingua Franca (ELF). Second model-based tests assume that English as a Lingua Franca may be considered as a distinct code and not as a use of Standard English. There is no fundamental reconceptualization of language testing involved. The study finally advises to properly describe ELF before assessing it.
