Annotation

This study discusses five linguistic propaganda arguments, crucially stating that the minority's linguistic links to its neighbor are minimal, recurring, at different periods over the last 150 years, in four localities: western Hungary, Karelia, Moldavia and southern Austria. In northwestern Greece, however, many of these parallels are lacking, presumably mainly as a result of different official approaches to ethnicity and nationalism concepts.
