Annotation

Extending Hymes' concept of a socially build linguistics, this paper argues that one needs to explore directly the thesis of the relative autonomy or interdependence of linguistic, social and cognitive processes, and to develop research questions that consider their mutually embedded nature in an interdisciplinary way.
