This descriptive study compares the writing processes of a 15-year-old girl, writing essays in Danish (L1) and English (L2) as homework assignments in an uncontrolled setting, using a think-aloud procedure for data collection. The results of very similar working methods in the two languages are linked to the concept of knowledge transforming.
