In order to explore women's 21st century demands for security policies and approaches, this paper analyzes the direct testimony of women in three post-conflict societies, i.e. Northern Ireland, South Africa and Lebanon, with special reference to three crucial security areas that are central to women's re-imaginings of the security concept.
