Annotation

This article discusses the concept of trust in the interview situation. It is argued that the role of interviewer is important in order to create trust for the interviewee. Along with the interviewee’s expectations of what an interview is, the author considers his own person, professionalism, and social background as the main factors when creating trust during his interviews. This article is based on the fieldwork for the author's folkloristic thesis to come regarding men’s and women’s narration about their experiences of war.
