Annotation

This paper states that a study revealing the real nature of Thai and Tibetan indexicals needs to explain “counter-examples to normative usage,” and take into account native speakers’ judgments. It is argued that the Buddhist contingency principle, or Nagarjuna’s change theory, can account for the actual use of these indexicals.
