Annotation

This quantitative and qualitative study examines the communicative strategies employed by Japanese participants in gender-mixed formal interactions, such as television interviews. Communicative strategies are shown to be multi-functional and thus linguistic, pragmatic or turn-sequential manifestations do not inevitably correspond to a specific stance.
