Arguing that empowerment can be evidenced within interaction, this study employs conversation analysis to explore sequential patterns according to which callers to a peer-run warm line, doubting about adoption of a self-construed remedy against ongoing troubles, are subsequently encouraged by call takers to execute the reported remedy, and commit to purport the action.
