This paper on dialect loss and change in present-day Flanders (Belgium), discusses the development towards a new diglossia: Standard Dutch reserved for formal domains, and a “regiolectal” variety for informal (youth) colloquial speech, with a clear dominance of the Brabant–Antwerp dialect region.
