Annotation

Using the theoretical notions of discursive age construction and positioning theory, this study focuses on the discursive positioning of mixed focus group discussants vis-à-vis television advertisements in the U.K., depicting older people as central characters, in terms of age stereotypes and age identity constructions for oneself and the other(s).
