Using the ethnolinguistic vitality concept and some items of the subjective vitality questionnaire, this study confirms a rapid language shift and low vitality perceptions among second generation adolescent Albanian immigrants in Greece. Albanian parents display positive attitudes towards heritage language maintenance, but do not take the necessary practical measures for ensuring intergenerational Abanian language transmission.
