Annotation

This study discusses the origins and implications of Timor-Leste's post-independence constitutional provisions regarding its linguistic situation, declaring co-offical the endogenous Tetum language and colonial Portuguese, attributing national language status to the remaining local languages, and considering English and Indonesian as temporary working languages.
