Via discourse analysis of the chat transcripts from an English-language telecollaboration project between university students in Chile and California, in which participants compared the demonstrations for immigrant rights in the U.S. with the massive student protests in Chile (May 2006), this study documents through which linguistic resources intercultural awareness, attitudes, knowledge and abilities were constructed online.
