Annotation
In assessing the changing attitudes and language practices of a group of South African teenagers in a newly integrated working-class township in Cape Town, this paper takes into account the influences of the precise part of the city where their families have settled, the schools to which they are sent and the continued relations with the rural heartland from which they migrated.
