Annotation

This long-term analysis of Mexican-American bilingual-multicultural programme efficiency, confirms that two-way language maintenance programmes increase high school graduation rates, do not delay Americanisation, and are linked to long-term academic achievement. Bilingualism is perceived as an asset and immigration as a positive contribution to community.
