Annotation

Drawing on Pennycook's frameworks for the comprehension of the global role of English, this study argues that Canagarajah's notion of a politics of location can illuminate (the paradoxes of) English language use in periphery communities internationally (such as South Africa and Pakistan) and in center communities as well.
