Annotation

This paper addresses a special intervention in Samoan bilingual classrooms for 9 to13 year old Samoan children, designed for increasing English as a second language reading comprehension. The significant positive link between second and first language reading comprehension, suggests a possible transfer from second into first language reading comprehension, apparently due to particular instructional aspects.
