Annotation

This study explores how non-native professional speakers of Japanese, working in Japanese companies in Hong Kong, can help language educators solve the problems related to foreign language learners' acquisition of 'masculine' and 'feminine' Japanese. It then addresses the implications for the teaching of gendered aspects of foreign languages, in particular when professional identity and social status are involved.
