Annotation

This paper explores the discursive explanation of the institutionality of interaction in a Belgian first-instance criminal case judicial setting, where four defendants are charged with verbal assault on a police officer and protest against arrest. Agency and social structure appear to be important factors in accounting for the interactional institutionality.
