Annotation

By examining a case (1997-1998) of Maori-English bilingual students' reaction of jeering at a mainstream teacher's mispronunciation of Te Reo words, which had significant impact given the current cultural Aotearoa/New Zealand politics, this paper investigates a microlevel minority language speakers' strategy to adequately critique disrespectful behavior towards their everyday language.
