Annotation

This study demonstrates how Mexicano-speaking youth in the Mexican state of Tlaxcala are facing multiple language ideologies, affected by globalization and racialized societal discourses which debase indigenous identities. This perceived ambivalence though, a sociohistorical response to minority status and intrapersonal authenticity struggle, can change over time and provide hope for indigenous language revitalization.
