Annotation

This paper explores and compares how the three conceptual frameworks of linguistic globalization, i.e. imperialism, hegemony and cosmopolitanism, inform the relations between Indian call center agents and their American customers and between Canadian call center agents and their American and Indian customers. A linguistic hegemony framework is recommended for its rich analysis.
