This comparative analysis of newsroom convergence models between China's Beijing Youth Daily (BYD) and Denmark's Nordjyske, shows that whilst BYD still keeps the traditional separate and cascade newsrooms, with newspapers mainly offering content to websites, Nordjyske has applied a multimedia-based model. At present though, BYD is constrained by policy barriers that don't allow newspapers to run broadcasting services in China.
