This study critically explores former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia's Political Address to the Bangladesh Nation on October 10, 2005, in order to examine the reactions of the then Bangladesh government to the increasing Islamic extremism in the country, using Kenneth Burke's identification concept.
