Annotation
This paper explores why Dogon migrant workers between 1920 and 1960, labouring in Ghanese mines and participating in constructing the Malinese Markala dam, glorified colonial work according to the different dimensions of time, organization, and discipline, thus placing 'white man's work' at the top of this new hierarchisation of activities.
