Annotation

This paper argues that, although in Cape Town and the Western Cape, three of the eleven official spoken languages have been selected for equal recognition in the public health sphere, English and Afrikaans still predominate to the cost of isiXhosa. And most state health service facilities do not dispose of officially trained medical interpreters.
