This paper discusses how misinterpretations of Rogerian principles (verbal counseling techniques for veteran post-WWII readjustment) have resulted in a debate over the arhetorical nature of Rogerian rhetoric and an incorrect linking of Rogerian rhetoric and expressivist and therapeutic writing.
