This article discusses how Operation Iraqi Freedom involved both the U.S. military's second Iraq invasion in just over a decade and an unprecedented association between the U.S. government and corporate media outlets (viz. battlefield trained journalists), resulting in news coverage in favor of a highly individualized viewpoint.
