Annotation

This paper explores the links between African American college students' rap music video viewing, collective self-esteem, Afrocentric identity, and (negative) attitudes towards women. The findings are discussed in the light of Allen's (1993, 2001) cultural lens approach, Appiah's (2004) ethnic identification theory and the priming paradigm.
