This paper explores types and interactional effects of primary school pupils' disruptive classroom humor from a pupil perspective, demonstrating how pupils adjust to classroom conventional behavior, but simultaneously test the system. Humorous disruptions often serve individual identity assertion or creation of a specific class personality.
