Annotation

Exploring the conceptual nature of interjections, this paper assumes an intermediate position by arguing that interjections' heterogeneity could suggest the existence of a continuum containing both more and less conceptual items. It is concluded that those items with conceptual content would not encode complete concepts, but rather some schematic material in need of subsequent pragmatic accommodations.
