Annotation

This study explores language practices in a Spanish government agency responsible for allocating or disallowing legal status to transnational migrants in Spain. As front-line talk revolves less around fundamental information processing than around immigrants' language and behavior control, this book offers an interesting view on the link between language, social heterogeneity, and exclusion practices.
