This collection contains three major parts, each of which covers a significant research area for the study of norms and standards in the English language. Part 1 deals with English varieties, dialects and standardization processes over time and space; Part 2 deals with the use of English in non-native contexts; and Part 3 addresses issues on politeness and impoliteness.
