Drawing on cognitive linguistics and related fields, this volume examines the link between body, language and mind, emphasizing the complex, mutually reinforcing interrelationships between the sociocultural situatedness of language and the linguistic situatedness of culture. The notion of sociocultural situatedness enables to consider language as both a cultural activity and a subtle mechanism for scrounging culture and thought.
